FRA Developing Welding Program, Looking for Sponsors

Dear FRA supporters,

False River Academy is excited to announce that we are developing a new welding program! Our school is located in New Roads, LA where a significant number of our students are interested in pursuing careers in welding. In the past we have partnered with BRCC for classes for juniors and seniors, but the need to have a welding program on campus and local is vital to allow access for all students who are interested. The success of our students is our biggest priority. Therefore, we are reaching out to community and industry partners who know the impact a great welder can make and the tremendous need for skilled labor. At this time, we are gathering donations to create an amazing workspace filled with needed safety and learning materials. We currently have a building that has been permitted for this use.  We are working on renovations to the building to accommodate the necessary space. We have an amazing welding teacher committed to these classes. Mr. Randy Jarreau has over 45 years experience in the field, 21 years of those as an experienced welding instructor. Additional needs for welding equipment used for training and the ventilation system necessary for a healthy environment total another $48,000. We would appreciate your support.

All sponsors donating any amount by March 28, 2024 will be acknowledged on our Facebook page and invited to attend our ribbon cutting ceremony prior to the welding shop opening. Platinum level Sponsors (those donating $5,000 or more) will have an additional year-long acknowledgement on our school’s website. Gator level sponsors (those donating $10,000 or more) will have their company name posted on a plaque in the welding shop. The FRA Welding Shop will be named after the Gator Level Sponsor who donates the largest amount, and that donor will be invited to help us cut the ribbon at our ribbon cutting ceremony.

False River Academy is looking forward to creating an amazing welding program on our campus. We take great pride in our school and community and appreciate your support. If you would like more information or have any questions, please contact our principal, Mrs. Linda D’Amico, or our Academic Coordinator, Mary Horner, at 225-638-3783.

Sincerely,

Linda D’Amico, Principal
